VCT phasers are often overlooked on the 5.0 coyote engines. If you are conducting a camshaft install or rebuilding your engine, simply cleaning the outside of a phaser will not remove the sludge and oil build up from inside. Taking apart a phaser can be a challenge if you’ve never done it before. This video shows in detail how to disassemble clean and re-assemble your VCT Phasers.
