Shimmer Mirrors - Ragaritral [Full Album]

Shimmer Mirrors formed in 2017 when five musicians from different corners of the world found themselves drawn to California's Mojave Desert seeking spiritual and sonic transformation. The band consists of:

-Amrit Singh (sitar, vocals) - Born in Punjab, India and raised in Los Angeles, blending classical Hindustani training with California surf rock
-Ethan Rivers (guitar, synthesizers) - A Texas native who discovered Eastern philosophy through music and spent two years studying in Rajasthan
-Omar El-Rashid (tabla, percussion) - Cairo-born multi-instrumentalist who apprenticed under legendary tabla masters before migrating to the US
-Marcus "Mars" Johnson (bass, vocals) - Originally from Detroit, found enlightenment through heavy psych and converted an abandoned warehouse into a meditation studio
-Dario Vargas (synthesizers, drones) - Mexico City electronic music producer who specialized in creating soundscapes for shamanic ceremonies

After meeting at a desert music gathering, they discovered an immediate musical telepathy. Their sound emerged from all-night jam sessions in makeshift desert temples, combining crushing psychedelic riffs with authentic Indian classical elements and ambient electronic textures.

"Ragaritral," their debut album recorded entirely analog in 2018, was released in 2019. The album was tracked live in a converted airplane hangar during a three-week residency where they lived, meditated, and created together. Their authentic fusion of heavy psych with traditional instrumentation, combined with their visual aesthetic of ceremonial desert performances, quickly gained them a devoted underground following.

Shimmer Mirrors has since become known for their transformative live experiences, often performing at sunrise in desert locations where natural acoustics and spiritual energy converge.
