In 2016 the National Motor Museum launched a successful appeal to raise £30,000 to build a new gear box for the historic Sunbeam 350hp Land Speed Record car.
The Sunbeam 350hp is a truly iconic car, famous both for competing on the race track and for breaking the World Land Speed Record on three separate occasions. Renamed Blue Bird by Sir Malcolm Campbell, it was the first car to go above 150 mph for a land speed record.
This video was made to raise awareness of the appeal and features content from the National Motor Museum Collections.
