Hastings is developing the Yangibana rare earths and niobium project in WA’s Gascoyne that will become one of the worlds biggest suppliers of industrial magnet rare earths neodymium and praseodymium. Both are critical for the manufacture of electric motors. In a pivotal moment, Twiggy Forrest’s privately owned Wyloo has just agreed to enter into a JV with Hastings that will see Wyloo pick up 60% of the project and manage it all the way into production.
