On today's 'Quiet French Table,' I'm sharing a very special find: a Sanejouand & Graves piece from the Clairefontaine pottery, dating back to the late 1800s. This Terre de Fer ironstone is a piece of French history that is very special & rare. Also the cylindrical pottery bearing a fascinating and rare stamp: "MAGASINS MODERNES BÉZIERS". This mark connects the piece to a famous department store in Béziers, France, which later became Galeries Lafayette. This stamp is your assurance that you are acquiring a genuine artifact with a verifiable history, not just a decorative item.
