There are some unusual cases where a wine will not naturally clear up. In this video, we will discuss what to do when you wine is hazy and it needs cleared up. Common causes of a cloudy or hazy wine would be simply yeast or fruit particles in the wine, but occasionally you will have a much more stubborn cause of haze. A stubborn haze can occur if the wine has excess pectin or protein. In this video, we will discuss when to use bentonite, sparkolloid, chitosan, kiesolsol, albumen (Egg Whites), casein and other wine finings techniques.
