Sleet and freezing rain that fell Saturday night into Sunday created dangerous conditions on Austin-area roadways throughout the day as first responders responded to several crashes, including one involving an APD patrol vehicle. Around 7 p.m. Sunday, a crash closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near Slaughter Lane in south Austin, and that's where KXAN's Taylor Alanis delivered this report from.
