Tulbagh - Two Glorious Days! Ep 618

We were lucky enough to spend two glorious days in Tulbagh and it was such a treat. We stayed at The Tulbagh Boutique Heritage Hotel, voted the friendliest hotel in South Africa, and from the moment we arrived on Tuesday afternoon, we felt so welcome. We really felt as if it were the friendliest hotel in South Africa. We checked into our Obiqua Suite, relaxed a little and had a delicious meal at the Olive Terrace Bistro, after which we settled into our room for a relaxing night next to the crackling fireplace. The next day was packed, and the hotel had organised everything for us. We went olive tasting, sampled some amazing wines, and even got to try some Methode Cap Classique sparkling wines, it was such a fun experience! That evening we had another fantastic dinner and slept like logs. Before checking out on Thursday morning, we took a tour of historic Church Street. Then, sadly, it was time to say goodbye to all the lovely folks at the hotel and to their beautiful town. If you’re ever looking for a midweek or weekend getaway, we can definitely recommend Tulbagh, it was a really special visit.
