This week on Behind the Mirror of Music Dannii Cohen talks to Anouk van Laake.
Anouk van Laake begun her career in the Netherlands and Germany starring in Mozart das Musical, West Side Story, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Great Andrew Lloyd Webber Gala as well as working in Opera.
After this she moved to the UK where she performed the roles of Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera and Fantine in Les Miserables (alongside fellow Dutch star Milan van Waardenburg,) on West End during 2021 and 2025.
During this time she often joined Behind the Mirror of Music to talk about her preparations and research for the roles during that period. Here we compiled all episodes including a brand new episode where we look back on her time in both roles and celebrate 40 years of Les Miserables.
