Experience the sights, sounds and power of new build steam in action at the Bluebell Railway’s Giants of Steam 2025! This video captures the excitement of one of Britain’s most loved heritage railway events — featuring brand new-build locomotives from 2008 to 2024. We see Betton Grange, Lady of Legend, Tornado and Beachy Head power across the Sussex countryside in the first new build gala ever held in the United Kingdom.

From the first whistle to the last burst of exhaust, Giants of Steam showcases the larger locomotives on the Bluebell Railway. This year it is seen from the lineside of the Railway as we dart around the Sussex countryside to capture these four stunning locomotives showcasing long lost classes of steam locomotive thought lost to history.
