Footage of Stokely Carmichael (later Kwame Toure) speaking about Malcolm X and the original intent of the idea behind "Black Power" at a community meeting.
Carmichael was first a member of the Student Non-violent Co-ordinating Committee (S.N.C.C.) before leading the All-African People's Revolutionary Party (AAPRP), a socialist, pan-African organisation which was founded by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in Conakry, Guinea in 1968. He was married to the South African singer Miriam Makeba from 1968-1978.
He died on November 15th 1998 in Conakry, Guinea.
