From "The Incredible Dr. Mazeppa Pompazoidi's Uncanny Film Festival & Camp Meeting" circa 1972 or 1973.
The Uncanny Film Festival and Camp Meeting debuted Saturday 2 May 1970 on KOTV, Channel 6 in Tulsa Oklahoma. A year later the show moved to KTUL Channel 8, which is where this intro clip is from, airing for two more seasons, ending summer 1973.
Mazeppa (Gailard Sartain) and company (Jim Millaway and Gary Busey, to name a few) performed madcap, and often improvisational, comedy sketches during commercial breaks of late night horror and comedy films. To say the show was hysterically creative would be an understatement. The show was immensely popular and immediately gained a cult following!
