How many hours will be spent observing the light that falls on this optic and fills the human eye and mind from the distant reaches of our Universe? How much time will be spent in the wilderness, in the dark, on a mountain, in a desert, or on a high plateau peering into the vast reaches of space, as far as one fifth the distance of what mankind has measured? This video is a meditation in keeping with the spirit of the use of this mirror, coupled with its final session, the finish of the optical surface. May we invoke the Sacred as we consider our observation of the deep reaches of space.
