Strawberry crumble: a perfect treat for a cozy spring evening!

*Ingredients:*
150g flour
80g sugar (50g for the dough, 30g for the strawberries)
½ teaspoon baking powder
80g unsalted butter (must be cold and cut into small pieces)
A pinch of salt
200g fresh strawberries
7g cornstarch
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
This amount is suitable for a 20cm diameter baking dish.
*Instructions:*
1. In a bowl, mix 150g of flour, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, a pinch of salt, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
2. Add 80g of chilled, pre-cut butter.
3. Using your fingertips, gently mix the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
4. Add 50g of sugar and continue mixing with your fingertips. The butter shouldn’t melt completely—the dough should remain crumbly.
5. To check, squeeze a small piece of dough between two fingers; if it sticks together, it’s ready.
6. Grease the baking dish with butter and spread half of the dough evenly on the bottom, pressing it down with a spoon.
7. Chop 200g of strawberries as desired, then mix them with the remaining 30g of sugar and 7g of cornstarch.
8. Spread the strawberry mixture over the dough evenly.
9. Take the remaining dough and gently crumble it over the strawberries.
10. Bake in a preheated oven at *175°C* for **45 minutes**.
