Offshore Fishing - Capricornia Coast - No land in sight

In this video I go offshore fishing in our local waters off the Capricornia Coast with my eldest grandson Jayden and his mate Harry. I prepared the boat for an overnight fishing trip, but the fish bit that well we caught plenty for the three of us in one day and contentedly headed back to Rosslyn Bay harbour in the late afternoon.
I have fished off the Capricornia Coast for over thirty years. For a few of those early years I was a commercial fisherman and back then some of the fish we catch in this video we identified them by incorrect names. As the saying goes, old habits die hard, and I still find myself identifying fish the same as I did all those years ago. For example, in this video and others I have on my channel I identify Goldband Snapper as Rosy Jobfish.
Viewers will be pleased to know that this old sea dog can learn new tricks! Back in my commercial fishing days, Nannygai was identified as Red Jew. When a Nannygai was caught in this video, I did manage to identify the fish by their correct name. And we did catch quite a few Nannygai on this offshore fishing trip.
