Midnight - 1949 [Lyric video] (Lana Del Rey AI music)

My friend Steven was testing this new AI tool called Suno: https://suno.com/ It's a website where you can generate music with AI. You can input prompts (style/genre) and lyrics. He is a big fan of Lana Del Rey and decided to use the lyrics from her unreleased song "Every man gets his wish" with the prompt "Indie genre 1950’s melancholic, screaming ad libs, distorted, reverb, hiphop drums, indie style 1950". He sent me the link with some other songs he generated, and I was blown away when I listened to this one. The prompt is not 100% accurate (that happens very often, I imagine because the algorithm wants to have a cohesion with what it creates) but the result is pretty amazing.

The original song is 2 mins. long https://suno.com/song/b02c507d-aa52-4... but you can extend it with the same tool. The cool thing is that you can create alternative extensions, so he sent me all of them and we rearranged most of the parts to have a final song.

This website also creates an art-cover for the each song, and I loved the Chevrolet car concept. So I went to Bing chat (DALL E-3) and generated more images of a Chevrolet car in the middle of the desert (and to have the same vibe from the song, I decided to have a sunset, to keep the mood warm like the song). We re-named the song to "1949" cause our fav. part "We're gonna party like it's 1949. We're in that Chevrolet from July to July...".

I really like to use Chat GPT as a tool to create little lore's or roleplay stories, so we had a "conversation" with Chat GPT 3.5 to create/decide a name for this imaginary band, and the final decision was "Midnight", a band from the 1960s and 1970s (and, to continue the lore, the song was released in 1969).
