Here I shoot my Eddystone made M1917 in 3006. This gun was the most common service rifle in WW1. About 2 million were made. I have a M1903 which I love, but the M1917 is now my favorite. I am very recoil sensitive given that I have had shoulder surgery, but the heaviness of this gun (9.2 pounds) and a little help from my recoil pad made the shooting experience amazing. I used 150 grain M1 Garand safe ammo.. You got to get one!!!!
