Wladimir Klitschko has declared he is ready to fight for his country against Russia. He was speaking at the Kyiv town hall where his brother Vitali is mayor.
Players and coaches from Shakhtar Donetsk have also stated they are willing to fight with the army against Russian troops.
Former Roma manager Paulo Fonseca says he and his family are now safe, having managed to leave Ukraine. The ex-Shakhtar Donetsk boss posted an update on social media.
