When I think of the Serbian cuisine, the first thing that comes to my mind is SARMA. When I was young, I was confused why everybody had sarmas for the New Year and Christmas and thought it was weird. Now I understand, it's delicious, and most of all it's practical since this is the dish prepared for at least two days, so you don't have to think of cooking and you can enjoy the festivities with everybody else.
