This Is Spinal Tap (1984) is a mockumentary comedy film directed by Rob Reiner, who also stars as filmmaker Marty DiBergi. The film follows the fictional British heavy metal band Spinal Tap as they embark on a disastrous tour across the United States to promote their latest album. Through behind-the-scenes footage, awkward interviews, and chaotic performances, the film captures the absurdity, ego, and dysfunction that plague the band, turning their rise and fall into a hilarious and satirical portrayal of the music industry.
