1971 Tonka Ford Mustang "Scrambler" Restoration - Custom Restomod

Today, we have unique restoration for you. This is a 1971 Tonka Scrambler "Hot Horse", also known as model 250. The Scramblers were a line of toys produced by Tonka, in the early 1970s, that had small flywheel motors. What was so awesome about these flywheel motors, was that they were pretty powerful. All you would have to do is force down on the car, push it forward, and let it rip. The Scrambler line didn't just include this 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1, it also included a Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette Stingray, AMC Gremlin, AMC Javelin, Porsche 917, and a Mustang II, all from the previously mentioned year. Aside from the dimensions being pretty accurate, this model featured many genuine looking trim pieces and body panels. We decided to go for a custom paint job because these old Mustangs are just too cool to leave in the original pale pink color. Feel free to sit back, relax, and join us as this old Mustang gets a one-off restoration.
