The Rise of the Western Medieval Warhorse.

This video gives details on the medieval warhorse, which became essential for the success of armies of the middle ages. The Normans were credited with being the first to exploit the military horse in North Western Europe and influencing the cult of the mounted knight.

This video is influenced by the work of the late historian R.H.C Davis who's book "The Medieval Horse" has been drawn on. There is also much reference given to the Bayeux tapestry, will still stands of one of the best sources for the equipment used by the early European knight.
