Abundance, Discernment, and the Illusion of More

This talk is an invitation to rethink abundance—not as something you chase, prove, or accumulate, but as something you either recognize or obscure through the way you see, speak, and interpret the world.
I explore how abundance is shaped long before money, opportunity, or outcomes appear—through perception, comparison, discernment, and identity.
We move through:
• how the way you think and speak about yourself affects your experience of abundance
• how comparison quietly creates a lack mindset, even in a full life
• how constantly explaining credentials, achievements, or growth is often rooted in scarcity, not humility
• how perception changes what the brain and body are able to receive
• and how clarity restores peace, direction, and trust
I also weave together:
• faith and the lived example of Jesus Christ — compassionate, loving, and unshakably clear, never performative or passive
• science and how the nervous system, perception, and meaning-making shape our lived reality
• and the symbolism of the Seven of Cups as a mirror for confusion, illusion, comparison, and too many external reference points
This is not a talk about pretending life is easy or bypassing pain.
It’s about how abundance disappears when we live in illusion—and how it returns through clarity, grounding, and discernment.
We also talk about:
• why abundance doesn’t need proof
• how faith protects abundance through boundaries
• how Jesus lived abundantly without people-pleasing
• how comparison fractures attention and peace
• and how small, quiet moments—like a pause, a butterfly, or a clear “no”—can reorient us back to trust
