This straightforward technique involves just a few simple steps, making it easy to grow new houseplants from cuttings. By following this propagation process, you can expand your indoor garden with minimal effort and enjoy the satisfaction of nurturing new plants from your existing ones. DIY SUCCULENT SOIL MIX RECIPE:
3:2:1 ratio of 3 parts potting soil, 2 parts coarse sand or horticultural grit (like granite/pumice), and 1 part Perlite for aeration, ensuring quick drainage to prevent root rot; you can adjust the grit up for drier climates or down for more water retention as needed, but avoid fine play sand.
This is a popular and effective base recipe:
• 3 parts Cactus/Succulent Potting Soil (or regular potting soil
with no additives)
• 2 parts Coarse Sand, Horticultural Grit, or Crushed Granite
(chicken grit works)
• 1 part Perlite or Pumice (for aeration)
