In this Masterclass I will try to answer, once and for all, the recurring question: What mode am I playing in?

I will use the language analogy, in which modes are scales and scales are alphabets. However the big difference with languages is that in music we are telling our story over something that is already going on (a chord, a chord progression, a backing track, etc.) and that's what defines what we are playing, the relation between the chord and the scale that's been played.
