Grasmere Village Tour | Lake District England | Hiking | Visiting William Wordsworth's Home

The Lake District, located in North West England in the county of Cumbria, is one of the country's most beloved and picturesque regions. Known for its stunning landscapes, the Lake District is characterised by its deep glacial lakes, rugged mountains, dense woodlands, and quaint villages. It covers an area of about 2,362 square kilometres (912 square miles) and is home to England's highest peak, Scafell Pike, which stands at 978 metres (3,209 ft).

The Lake District was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017, recognising its cultural landscape and the way it has inspired writers, artists, and conservationists over the centuries. As a National Park, it’s protected for its natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage.

In this video, I visit the home of the famous poet William Wordsworth, I explore the villages of Grasmere and Rydal and I take a hike up Silver How mountain which has fabulous views over Grasmere Lake and village.
