Khajeh Shams-od-Din Moḥammad Ḥafeẓ-e Shirazi, known by his pen name Hafez is a great poet of the 8th century of Iran (equal to the 14th century AD) and one of the most famous orators of the world. Most of Hafez's poems are Sonnets, which are known as Hafez's Ghazals. He is known as one of the most important influences on poets after him.
