Homemade Pickled Jalapeños Recipe (Spicy & Tangy)
Pickled jalapeños are a delicious, spicy, and tangy addition to tacos, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and more. This quick and easy recipe requires just a few ingredients!
Ingredients:
• 10–12 fresh jalapeños (sliced)
• 1 cup white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
• 1 cup water
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 2–3 garlic cloves
• 10-12 teaspoon black peppercorns
. 1/2 tsp yellow mustard seeds
. 1/2 tsp oregano
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Brine: In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, salt, sugar,black peppercorns, oregano .Heat until the sugar and salt dissolve.
2. Add Jalapeños: Place the sliced jalapeños in a clean glass jar. Pour the hot brine over the jalapeños, ensuring they are fully submerged.
3. Cool & Store: Let the jar cool to room temperature, then seal it with a lid and refrigerate.
4. Ready to Eat: The jalapeños will develop the best flavor after 24–48 hours but can be eaten sooner.
Storage Tips:
• These pickled jalapeños stay fresh for 2–3 weeks in the refrigerator.
• For long-term storage, use a sterilized jar and proper canning methods.
