Mike Collins has made a name for himself as being on of Trump’s most loyal sycophants in Congress and one of the most ridiculous. He has represented Georgia’s 10th District for years but is now looking for a promotion to Senator leaving his seat open. The Republicans are lining up led by State Representative Houston Gaines who has suddenly joined the Trump Train when he wants to get a job at the Federal level. He has a talented opponent in Lexy Doherty. She is a geologist, educator, and lifelong public servant. She’s running for Congress to represent Georgia’s 10th Congressional District because she believes her communities deserve leadership that’s honest, practical, and focused on results- not partisanship. She moved to Athens, GA to pursue her graduate degree at UGA in economic geology and has been deeply rooted in the community ever since. She has worked as an educational consultant, helping students find their path after high school, as an Assistant Precinct Manager to protect our right to vote, and also volunteered on the Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission, advocating for healthy, connected communities through public green space access. She is a second time candidate for the seat and is coming out swinging for this open seat.
