Quirky sequences from the Serge NCOM module

On my Serge modular, at least, it is possible to force the divide-by-NCOM module to produce quirky sequences (different from the regular staircases) by feeding the comparator output (CMP OUT) back into the modules minus input (N-). Depending on the positions of the 1 - 31 knob and the IN+ knob, the sequence will make melodic jumps. The sequence is nevertheless regular. The overall patch I use in the video is as follows: NTO variable waveform output into IN of the top section of the wave multiplier. OUT of the wave multiplier to audio output. OUT of one side of a DSUG into VC input of wave multiplier, VC knob high, GAIN at low. END output of USG to clock the NCOM via the IN+ input (comparator voltage set centre) STEP output of NCOM into 1V/OCT input of NTO (gives whole tone steps; if you want other steps, use the VC F input). The length of the sequence and the quirkiness are adjust by combinations of the NCOM 1-31 knob and the IN+ knob. The comparator voltage (-5 +5) may also need to be adjusted. Hopefully this works for you! Enjoy!
