Pain is meant to be scary. It's designed to get our attention and to keep us safe. However, most of us assume it also means we have a problem with our body, which is not always (and sometimes seems is rarely) the case. When symptoms come on, fear is often our first reaction. While this is normal, if we can attend to it with curiosity, we'll often find the sweet spot between ignoring it and becoming hyper-vigilant (both tend to make pai worse. Instead we can de-fuse it quickly and effectively and get on with it. This is true with both new/acute pain, and older/chronic pain. Learn how and give it a try.
