Chinese Premier Li Qiang Begins New Zealand Visit

Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in New Zealand on Thursday for the start of a tour that also includes Australia and Malaysia. Li was greeted by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and New Zealand Governor General Dame Cindy Kiro at the official welcome ceremony in Wellington. The premier's trip comes amid escalating trade tensions between Beijing and western countries.
