Eleanor Guthrie || I Just Wanna Feel Something

This video is not exceptional. I had some blockages in my current projects and I did this video next while waiting.

The singer who sings this beautiful song is, if you do not know her, Marina Kaye, French singer, even if she sings only in English. She wrote this song after her success to describe her descent into hell in alcohol and loneliness and easy conquests.

But every time I listened it, I could not help but interpret it differently and think of Eleanor, my dear Eleanor, and the confusion that reigns in her.

I think Eleanor always lied to herself, unfortunately. And this song describes it well. The passage where it says "But I'm not sorry for the hearts I stole", we know it's wrong, but I'm sure Eleanor was convinced of that, whether it's when she said to Scott that it was Max who chose all this, or when she made the decision to kill Charles.
And of course, I also like this song speaks about the fact that the singer knows that what she does destroys it but that she goes anyway. This corresponds to the vile and disgusting relationship of Rogers and Eleanor.
Eleanor was aware in herself that Rogers was bad for her, she proved it with her nightmare that predicted Woodes' betrayal, but in spite of that, she run to him, she ran to her own destruction.
Which reminds me of what I always thought of Eleanor : she never loved herself and she always had a self-destructive behavior, always making the decisions that will hurt her the most. As if she was unconsciously punishing herself for something. But what ? Perhaps the death of her mother and the lack of love of her father.
