In this video, I unveil my latest upgrade to the 3D printed WALL-E tracks for my Chilibasket robot! Drawing inspiration from community mod ideas, I’ve implemented several key improvements to boost performance and durability:
Enhanced Tension: Added a spring to the top roller for optimal track tension.
Smooth Turning: Every axle now features a bearing for fluid, smooth rotation.
Secure Build: Split axles are tightly screwed together to fit snugly on the bearings and frame, with wheels securely fastened onto the axles.
Improved Guidance: Redesigned track pieces ensure proper alignment on both the gear and regular rollers.
Seamless Connection: Track pieces are linked with a simple ~3cm filament connector.
Robust Motor Mount: Beefed up for increased rigidity and stability.
