Recovering a water damaged tablet after being soaked in water by my kids. I de-assemble it, place it in rice, and then leave it to dry before reassembling it. Luckily, it worked.
This does not work for each situation, as some components might have already been damaged. So the same results cannot be replicated for each device. Professional help might be needed to open some devices, replace components and restore/improve function.
