RIP Van Palmer you would’ve loved bottoms (2023)

I can’t believe she’s really gone. 😔 Just like with Lottie it was inevitable she was going to die, but it’s a baffling choice to do it this soon. There was so much more they could’ve done with her as a character; a middle aged woman who survived multiple near death experiences, who lived through the 90s as an out lesbian, who was alone for decades, who runs a video store that provides a safe space for the people in her community. She was so kind 💚

As well as all of that, both versions of her were so well cast and it’s such a massive shame to lose one of them so soon.

When it came to picking a song of course there was only one option. I didn’t think I could do the whole 5 minutes at first but I channelled all my upset into it and powered through lol. Hope it represents her well!
