From a tactical rough water paddling point of view, this is how I think of the areas I paddle. It's cool to see it for real.
Each smaller area will usually requires different strategies and skills, as you leave the wave and surfing, you might enter broaching, bracing, turning to aim at a spot ect, then enter the whirlpool zone and boils, with the clean areas on each side passed the eddie line.
As you are moving through you are losing some opportunities but opening new ones, and depending on the day, you might decide for a clean exit or a go around in the whirls...
just eye candy but still a favorite for those who have paddled there, and gives you a good idea of scale, both for the area, the kayak, and the features.
