Spiritual opposition is inevitable when we pursue God's calling. The enemies of Judah and Benjamin disguised their hostility as a partnership, which Zerubbabel wisely rejected. Satan often uses deception to hinder God's work. When outright opposition followed, it lasted nearly two decades, showing that obstacles may persist longer than we might expect. Yet, God was still in control.

The mention of King Xerxes connects to Queen Esther's story, reminding us that God is always working behind the scenes, even in opposition. Sometimes, delays serve a purpose, refining our faith and strengthening our perseverance. Like the Israelites, we must hold onto God's promises and continue the work He has called us to do. Even when progress seems halted, God's faithfulness never wavers, and His plans will be fulfilled in His time.
