Exploring the theme of Access Becomes Art, World Ballet Day 2025 celebrates the diverse community that makes ballet and dance so powerful through creativity and collaboration.
In partnership with Restless Dance Theatre, The Australian Ballet presents an all-abilities workshop. Filmed during DanceX in Melbourne, Artistic Director of Restless Dance Theatre Michelle Ryan, leads the Move, Imagine, Create workshop with help from Restless Dance Theatre’s artists, The Australian Ballet Principal Artist Brett Chynoweth, The Australian Ballet’s Education and Outreach team and some lucky participants.
We also take you behind the scenes with a very special morning class that unites classical ballet with contemporary techniques, bringing together artists from The Australian Ballet, West Australian Ballet, Stephanie Lake Company and Bangarra Dance Theatre.
