Chris Whitley & Pat MacDonald Cover Dylan's Song about Billy the Kid.... (Re-uploaded)

Joined by Pat MacDonald, Chris Whitley (and guitar techs, including Chris Reali playing Chris's Triolian) cover a Bob Dylan song about Billy the Kid (Billy 4*) at Quasimodo's in Berlin, Germany, on February 5, 1999. Looks like they had a very good time! *The song, Billy 4, is from Bob Dylan's movie soundtrack for "Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid." Update 2025-01-09: Chris' guitar tech (as noted, playing Mustard in this video) has provided the backstory re this lovely union: "This madness all started during long rides in the van as we slogged across Europe. Pat, who Ken nicknamed "Rock," and Chris would sing Dylan songs to pass the time. At some point they decided to perform the song live. I think Chris remarked that he had never performed without a guitar, so that's why he's moving all around the stage because he didn't know what to do while not playing. We did this again at one show in London a few weeks later. A good time was had by all."
