22 vehicles were fined last week for breaching the conditions of their main street permits, and five of those had their permits revoked. The Royal Gibraltar Police has begun enforcing the regulations for permits in pedestrianised areas. Permit holders have been operating regularly outside the conditions set for them by the licensing authority, and in some cases abusing them outright.
Jonathan Sacramento asked RGP Inspector Malcolm Figueras why police had decided to clamp down on this behaviour.
