Now before y’all get mad at me, I just wanna say I HAD PERMISSION FROM MY PHYSIOTHERAPIST TO DO THIS!! Despite having a hand injury and a short time limit, I was very careful with my right hand. I switched between my left and right hand frequently while drawing so half was done with my left hand while the other half was done with my right hand.

There are a few reasons I decided to go ahead with animating part 2 this year.

1. I didn’t want the baggage of not finishing part 2 to follow me to next year
2. In full honesty. My chances of returning to Artfight are very low.

Making 2 100-character mass attacks with a hand injury was very tough. While there were a few fun bits here and there, it was genuinely one of the worst art-related experiences of my life. To make matters worse, yesterday, Procreate Dreams deleted a ton of progress/files relating to this project that I had to completely redo. All of part 1 is lost, so I don’t think I’ll be able to stitch them together in a satisfying way. Nor do I have the motivation to.

Don’t be me. I did Artfight because I wanted people to draw art of my friends dnd characters.
Not because I wanted to. Everything I’ve ever done Artfight (with a few exceptions here and there) was subconsciously to receive art in return, which made me feel not great.

My campaigns are coming to a close in August. I have no reason to return. And even if I did, I am unsure if I would be able to properly enjoy myself. It’s hard to rewire your brain when you’ve had a certain mindset for 3 years.

That being said, I’ve made a ton of lovely new friends/mutuals through Artfight. While I experienced a bit of hate this year, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

If I messed up your character or went against your permissions, I am genuinely sorry. Normally I'd offer to make changes but for the sake of my mental health, I don't want to return to this project file. DM me on artfight and we will figure something out. Character designs did have to be simplified tho, to keep my sanity intact.

I have like one more attack I may or may not finish but for now… I rest. Goodbye.
