Grand MoU Signing Ceremony at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari, Karachi

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL), Karachi, Sindh, successfully organized a Grand MoU Signing Ceremony under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi, marking a significant milestone in strengthening academia–industry collaboration.

A total of 21 national and international companies participated in the ceremony, reflecting the growing trust of industry partners in BBSUL’s academic excellence, research potential, and future-oriented vision.
The event was graced by the Honorable Minister for Universities and Boards, Government of Sindh, as the Chief Guest, whose presence added great value and encouragement to the initiative.

The ceremony formally commenced with Director ORIC welcoming the distinguished guests and partner companies, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts for research, innovation, student development, and employability.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi briefed the audience on the remarkable academic, research and infrastructural development of the University. He also personally visited various departments and ongoing development works, showcasing the university’s commitment to quality education and institutional growth.

Dr. Umair presented a comprehensive overview of the progress, quality assurance measures, and academic achievements of the University, which was highly appreciated by the participants.

The Honorable Minister for Universities and Boards, Government of Sindh, highly appreciated the dynamic leadership and progressive initiatives of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi, commended the valuable role of partner companies in strengthening academia–industry linkages, and reaffirmed the Government of Sindh’s commitment to supporting universities in promoting quality education, research, innovation, and student employability across the province.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mazhar Ali Dootio presented the vote of thanks, warmly appreciating the tireless efforts and leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi Honorable Minister for Universities and Boards, Government of Sindh MPA Lyari, Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Baloch Mr. Nadir Gabol, Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh and President Chamber of Commerce and industries Karachi.
