Below are the requirements for the MFA Ausbildung:

ENGLISH

Health suitability
Abitur, intermediate school leaving certificate or secondary school certificate or Matric certificate .
Duration of training 3 years
If you perform very well, the training period can be shortened.

Focus of the training

Billing with the statutory health insurance associations and private patients
Commercial activities
Assisting the doctor during treatments and operations
Organizing the practice routine
Using a PC, using a doctor's program
Laboratory work

In addition to the weekly teaching day with eight teaching hours, there is a second vocational school day every two weeks with a further eight teaching hours.

The focus during the theoretical training is on the following areas:

Accounting
Data processing
Laboratory technology
Medicine
Word processing
Economics and business studies

Examinations:

Intermediate examination: at the end of the second year of training
Final school examination: The final examination is taken at the end of the training before the Medical Association. It consists of a written part, which also represents the theoretical part of the final apprenticeship examination.

Medical assistant (m/f/d)

Work, career and advancement opportunities:

After their vocational training, medical assistants can work in general and specialist medical practices, in hospitals or in development services, for example. Of course, office or administrative work is also part of their responsibilities.

Anyone who wants to further develop their professional skills can also pursue further qualifications, for example an additional qualification as a medical assistant (m/f/d). There is also the option of training to become a nutrition and diet consultant (m/f/d), an operating room assistant (m/f/d) or a trainer for type II diabetics and many more.

If the relevant educational requirements are met, a degree in the fields of health economics or health management is possible.

Zwischenprüfung: am Ende des zweiten Ausbildungsjahres
Schulabschlussprüfung: Die Abschlussprüfung wird am Ende der Ausbildung vor der Ärztekammer absolviert. Sie besteht aus einem schriftlichen Teil, der gleich­zeitig den theoretischen Teil der Lehrabschlussprüfung darstellt.
Abschlüsse

Medizinische Fachangestellte (m/w/d)-Brief
Realschulabschluss bzw. gleichwertiger Abschluss, wenn ein vor­geschriebener Notendurchschnitt erreicht wird.


Arbeits-, Berufs- und Aufstiegsmöglichkeiten
Nach ihrer Berufsausbildung können Medizinische Fachangestellte zum Beispiel in allgemein- und fachärztlichen Praxen, in Krankenhäusern oder im Entwicklungsdienst arbeiten. Selbstverständlich gehören auch Büro- oder Verwaltungsarbeiten zu ihrem Aufga­ben­gebiet.

Wer seine beruflichen Kompetenzen weiter entwickeln möchte, kann auch weitere Qualifikationen anstreben, zum Beispiel eine Zusatzqualifikation als Medizinische Fachangestellte (m/w/d). Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit sich zum Ernährungs- und Diätberater (m/w/d), zum Operationstechnischen Assistenten (m/w/d) oder zur Schulungskraft für Typ-II-Diabetiker fortbilden zu lassen.
