American sailor Guy deBoer set out in the 2022 McIntyre Golden Globe Race aboard his Tashiba 36 Spirit, chasing a lifelong dream of solo, non-stop circumnavigation.
After departing the Lanzarote film drop, disaster struck just hours later when Spirit ran aground off Fuerteventura. Though his race came to an abrupt end, Guy was uninjured. Rebuilding Spirit from the ground up, Guy now sets his sights on the 2026 Golden Globe Race.
