Working from her South London studio, Annie Ruthven-Taggart‘s jewellery designs are inspired by natural organic shapes and marine life, with an emphasis on three-dimensional form and colour. The jewellery is made entirely of precious metals with a range of beads, stones and pearls incorporated to enhance the organic shapes.
In this virtual event, Annie will be talking about the inspiration behind her work, how the designs are realised from sketches to three-dimensional models and into the final pieces. She will discuss methods used to make her jewellery, in particular the use of fly pressing to create a series of sculptural shapes.
