This week we show how to install butcher block countertops in a skoolie. You'll see how to stain butcher block and how to seal butcher block in a bus. Wayne is back! Cody's dad has made his THIRD TRIP to Texas to help with TOTS. What a guy! Our first big project is installing butcher block countertops. We are using Home Depot butcher block for our bus conversion. Some key points to keep in mind:
•Once unwrapped, butcher block should be sealed withing 48-72 hours
•Butcher block can be stained and/or sealed in a number of different ways. We used Watco Butcher Block Oil
•Cutting butcher block eliminates the factory eased edge. It can be recreated using a router or sander
•A bus conversion will be bouncing around. Consider using additional brackets to secure the countertop to the cabinets
