A massive windstorm hit the British Isles on the 18th of February and brought widespread and damaging severe wind gusts to western, southern and eastern parts of the UK. A 122mph gust on the Isle of Wight occurred which made it the highest wind gust ever recorded in the UK. Bedford recorded a max gust of 68mph so I thankfully didn't see anything of that severity. The winds were still strong enough to temporarily take the power out and topple a few trees, though.
