In this episode we finish off the oil changes in the engine, gearbox and rear differential/axle of the 1973 MkIII MG Midget.
We find some worrying fragments in the engine oil but soon realise our mistake and find some tiny brass pieces in the gearbox oil. Hope the gearbox is not about to suffer another failure.
We finally get the oil cooler out and make sure there is no old oil or oil flush in there; replacing a couple of perished rubber pieces along the way after struggling with getting the oil thermostat disconnected.
Workshop Manual lubrication quantites: Engine 3.7 litres, gearbox 1.3 litres and rear axle 1.0 litre.
