Appalachian Trail Days Festival 2025, Part 2

We woke up to some cleanup around tent city, and assessed the damage. After restoring our tarp we headed to the $5 AYCE Pancake breakfast at the ministry and then I used the shower truck which was glorious. We ran into Blueberry and Iron Mike and a few others as we walked back into town to see the hiker parade and visit ATC. We did see the Trek's watermelon crushing contest and some of the bands. We met another dog named Boots! Just before the parade we met Smokey the Bear. After the parade we went to the old mill for Wheezy Pee and Boots to do their presentation on hiking with your dog. On the way back to tent city we ran into Ben from Hilltop Packs and chatted with him for a while and then grabbed dinner at the diner. That evening we watched another set by the Ancient Men and then walked into see/experience the drum circle and bonfire. We had a much more pleasant night of weather and then in the morning we went back to town one last time to check out the ministry doing their services at the local park and Wheezy Pee got re-baptized in the river! We had let our tents dry out in the sun for a few hrs so we went back after all that to pack them up and hit the road back to Duncannon PA where I spent one more night at kind of outdoorsy and went home to CT the next morning to split up the long trip.
